Course summary
Year 12 Throughout Year 12 students will create two coursework projects, focusing primarily on building up their creative skills in any of the following areas: Painting and drawing, Photography, 3D, Ceramics, Digital Media, Textiles, Printmaking, and Contextual Studies. It is expected that students will organize their development work in sketchbooks. In addition to this, there is an emphasis on developing skills and ideas through project work to the realization and creation of a response. Year 13 In Year 13 students will develop one major project based on a personal theme and a contextual study on a topic of their choice, along with an essay between 1000 – 3000 words (a compulsory component of the course). The emphasis on this is a personal response; students generate their own independent project brief following a sustained investigation.
