Course summary

Further mathematics allows mathematically minded students to delve deeper into mathematics and thus gain a fuller knowledge of the subject. It enables students to extend some of the ideas met in the ordinary A level maths and also introduces many new concepts. Studying further mathematics at AS/A2 level is undoubtedly a challenge. The course is rigorous and demanding and students will be expected to work consistently hard throughout. In return successful students will earn a highly respected qualification which is an excellent foundation to a large number of higher education courses. An increasing number of Russell Group universities are asking for further maths for mathematics and engineering courses.
