Students develop responsibility and leadership through a peer mentoring system and a Sixth Form Leadership Team led by Head Students.

The sixth form offers Applied qualification Diplomas equivalent to L3 BTEC or A level, indicating a vocational course strand.

Students select 3 subjects, which may be vocational (applied general), academic, or a mix of both pathways

“You will select 3 subjects. Depending on the pathway that you take, this may be 3 applied general (vocational) subjects, 3 academic subjects or a mixture of both.”

Sixth form offers a broad mix of academic and vocational Level 3 courses, including combinable vocational and A level courses.

“We offer a wide variety of courses both academic and vocational at Level 3. Many of the vocational courses can also be taken in combination with our traditional ‘A’ level courses.”

No formal application deadline, but applying by February half-term is advised for full support and guidance

Abbey School students apply via Applicaa Admissions Plus using a digital form after receiving login details by email

“You will receive an email with log-in details to the Applicaa Admissions Plus system, and should apply within Applicaa, using a digital form.”

School reports Russell Group university progression since 2018, alongside continued university, apprenticeship, and employment outcomes in 2024.
