The House System provides regular one-to-one mentoring.

“3. Regular one-to-one mentoring”

Every sixth-form student receives one-to-one guidance from an Academic Mentor.

“Your guidance during your time with us, will come from your Academic Mentor. Your mentor will guide your progress through the Academy providing one to one support throughout your time in the Sixth Form and crucially during the UCAS University application process.”

The sixth-form offer includes a Sports Leadership Programme.

“- Sports Leadership Programme.”

Experience lessons may include an EPQ, Sports Leaders Award, practical skills, or fitness qualifications.

“Linked to Personal Development, all students will have an Experience lesson. This could be studying for an EPQ or Sports Leaders Award, developing cookery skills or using the fitness suite to gain fitness related qualifications.”

Respect is identified as a core school value and is expected to be shown to everyone.

“Respect is one of the core values of our school. This can be seen and felt in our pervading ethos in school. The students know and understand that it is expected and imperative that respect is shown to everyone, whatever differences we may have and to everything, however big or small.”

Every child is supported to achieve, with flexibility to meet all learners’ needs.

All students are expected to undertake guided enrichment as part of their personal growth.

“As part of their personal growth, all students are expected to undertake a guided enrichment programme and the details of this are set out later in the prospectus.”

Students may combine A-level and vocational subjects where the combination fits the permitted overall number of subjects.

“It is possible to take a combination of A-level and vocational subjects so long as they fit within the overall number of subjects.”
