The academy aims to strengthen literacy collaboration between feeder primary schools, the academy and the sixth form through mentorship and support networks.

A Year 11 pathways event explains sixth form, college, apprenticeships, BTEC courses and A Levels to students and parents.

Links with local colleges inform students about post-16 apprenticeships, vocational courses and alternative specialist programmes.
