Students have access to the full curriculum irrespective of SEND or other background and ability characteristics.

Students with SEND are offered inclusive provision, an appropriately levelled broad and balanced education, and personalised learning interventions.

The wellbeing strategy includes coordinated work with appropriate agencies to support students and families with mental health concerns.

STEM performance was particularly strong, especially in Further Maths, Chemistry, Economics and Computer Science.

Students achieved highly impressive results in Further Maths, where all entries achieved either an A\* or A grade. Meanwhile, 100% of entries for Chemistry, Economics and Computer Science were graded A\* to B.”

Able sixth-form students benefit from small classes.

Small classes are intended to enable individual attention from teachers.

Students are supported to explore higher education through university links, visits, speakers, admissions tutors, and webinars involving UK and overseas universities.

“University visits and speakers. MRC has well-established links with St John’s College Oxford, Churchill College Cambridge, Chichester, Portsmouth and Surrey universities. As well as visiting these places, we invite undergraduates and admissions tutors to address the students, to prepare them for the vast array of higher education choices. We have links with Medical Projects and Channel Trust charities who set up webinars to inform KS4 and KS5 students with many universities in the UK and abroad.”

EPQ supervision is available to able students in the sixth form.

One student progressed to a degree apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.

Students are prepared for employment, university, further training or apprenticeships after completing their journey at the college.

In 2025, 22% of A-level grades were A*-A, 45% were A*-B, 72% were A*-C, and 98% were A*-E.

In 2024/25, 74.8% achieved grade 4 or above and 56.2% achieved grade 5 or above in English and Maths GCSE.
