Teachers adapt resources and outcomes to individual students' abilities while maintaining high-quality class-teacher input for pupils with additional needs.

“Whilst our curriculum has high aspirations for all pupils, teachers know to adapt resources and outcomes for the ability of individual students. As such, pupils with additional needs will receive the same high-quality teaching input from their class teacher, whilst perhaps working on different targets to their peers – for example the end result of a task may take a different form.”

SEND support is monitored through the Assess, Plan, Do, Review model and is targeted and personalised.

Within the small-school model, each student is individually known, receives education tailored to their needs and can receive interventions.

“In a small school each student is known as an individual. Students have an education tailored to their needs, have their achievement tracked and receive interventions if required.”

Holistic support includes social and emotional skills, self-esteem, life skills, and physical and mental wellbeing.

“This means that alongside academic intervention and support, we also focus upon social and emotional skills (particularly emotional regulation), growth mindset and self-esteem, life skills (such as self-organisation and time management) and well-being (physical and mental).”

The school's Business BTEC is ranked ninth nationally.

The Football Academy provides a vocational Sport and Exercise Science pathway alongside football training.

“At the Academy players will study the BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science.”

Students aged 16–18 are organised as a small school within the academy's small-school structure.

“We have one small school for students aged 4-11, two small schools for students aged 11-14, one small school for students aged 14-16 and a small school for students aged 16-18.”

Students can pursue interests through activities including music and sport, with an Elite Player Programme supporting sporting achievement and progression.

“We also believe that students should be able to pursue their passions alongside their education and have a wide range of activities for students to explore, including music and sports. Ark Globe Academy has an Elite Player Programme (EPP) that has led to our Junior Boys Athletics Team being crowned Runners Up in ESAA English Schools’ Track and Field Cup 2023 National Finals. The programme has also supported students in pursuit of national sporting representation and scholarships at Premier League football clubs.”

Sixth-form students can benefit from partnerships with external companies and organisations including Deloitte, P&G and the EY Foundation.

The school says its Sixth Form is in the top 1% nationally, achieves Southwark's best outcomes and won an Ark sixth-form award in 2019.

“Our Sixth Form is in the top 1% of all sixth forms in the country, achieves the best outcomes in Southwark and has received the Sixth Form of the Year award at the Ark Education Summit 2019.”

The sixth form offers two routes: an A Level Pathway and Professional Pathways.

“We offer two key pathways at Ark Globe Academy Sixth Form.”

Applicants complete a form giving predicted grades and course choices, followed by a formal interview and a conditional offer based on predicted grades.

“Each student completes an application form with details of predicted grades and related course options. After submitting an application, each student has a formal admissions interview with a member of the Sixth Form team. We then send out conditional offers based on the student’s predicted grades and their related courses options at that time. Offers are subject to change in accordance with the actual results a student achieves.”

In 2024, 100% of students obtained a university place and 80% obtained a place at a top-third university; the top-third figure rose to 83% in 2025, with destinations including Oxford and Cambridge.

The careers programme includes university and employer visits, individual guidance, workshops and visiting speakers.

The sixth form says it is among the UK's top 1% of post-16 providers and ranks first in Southwark.
