The Pathways to Independence foundation course is for students with an EHCP who are working at Entry Level and aspire to become independent.

“Students are required to fulfil the following criteria before enrolling on the Pathways to Independence Course : - Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). - Working at Entry Level. - Have an aspiration to become independent.”

The Pathways programme serves learners with severe to moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities who are working from Pre-Entry to Entry 3.

Loreto has a Child Protection Policy that governors review annually.

A hall-based pastoral system provides information, advice and guidance, supported by counsellors, support staff and the careers service.

Loreto is a sixth-form college accepting applications for the 2026/2027 intake.

Loreto offers Level 3 and Level 2 BTEC diploma routes with specified GCSE or vocational entry criteria.

“BTEC Level 3 extended diploma A minimum of 5 GCSEs: 9 to 4 (A\*-C) including either English or Maths. OR Level 2 Vocational Programme at Merit or above PLUS 3 GCSEs 9 to 4 including either English or Maths. Level 2 diploma A majority of overall GCSE grades at grade 3 and above, including a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or better OR Level 2 Vocational Programme at Merit or above (e.g. BTEC/NVQ/OCR National) PLUS two GCSEs 9-4 (A\*-C)”

Applicants can save an application and return to complete it later; a school or academy reference is required.

Twenty-two students received offers from Oxford and Cambridge across a range of subjects.
