The school supports pupils with special educational and healthcare needs.

“At Benton Park Primary School we support a number of pupils with special educational and healthcare needs.”

A pupil pastoral support worker supports children's social, emotional and mental health, behaviour, and relationships.

“My role is to support children with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), behaviours and relationships.”

Pastoral support includes group work, wellbeing check-ins, and individual sessions.

“To do this, I work with children, mostly in friendship groups with similar issues, or I check-in on the children’s well-being on and off the playground or I can work on a one-to-one basis.”

The school offers more than 100 additional learning and experiential opportunities beyond the National Curriculum.
