Bury Grammar Schools

A three-person School Health Team provides whole-school health, welfare and pastoral support alongside first-aid-trained teaching and support staff.

“The Bury Grammar School Health Support Team are available across the whole school for first aid requirements, managing medicines, individual care plans, pastoral care and health and welfare. In addition, we have a team of teaching and support staff who are fully trained in first aid skills. Together, they work with pupils, parents and staff to ensure that medical and health needs are met.”

Pupils and students can access confidential emotional support and advice from a qualified counsellor.

Durham and Russell Group universities in North East and North West England are especially popular destinations.

Most students secured places at their chosen universities, while destinations also included Russell Group universities, competitive apprenticeships, and specialist institutions.

Five students achieved straight A*s, 18 achieved all A*-A grades, and almost half achieved all A*-B grades.
