Academic support is structured around the sixth-form management team and Form Tutors.

“The transition to active learning is built into the Sixth Form DNA through an academic structure which puts the management team and Form Tutors at its heart.”

Vertical forms allow Lower Sixth students to learn from both their Form Tutor and final-year students.

“This means Lower Sixth students can draw both on the knowledge of their Form Tutor and on the experience of final year students.”

A Level outcomes included 51% A*/A grades and 86% A*/A/B grades.

STEM is described as a growing strength, supported by excellent 2024 A Level mathematics results.

The sixth form has 14 vertical form classes containing students from both sixth-form years.

The Sixth Form has 180 students.

The extensive co-curricular programme includes Lego Mindstorm, Model United Nations, debating, drama, music, rowing and other sports.

Lower Sixth students can undertake an Extended Project Qualification on a topic of their choice.

“We also provide them with the opportunity to showcase their own special academic interests – and to challenge their own powers of organisation and resilience – by taking an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) of their own choice in their Lower Sixth year.”

The school promotes six values: compassion, resilience, independence, curiosity, ambition and inclusivity.

We actively encourage Senior pupils both to live by these principles and to pass them on to younger Harrodians through our well-established Leadership, Mentoring and Partnership and Outreach programmes.”

Students are urged to aim high and develop motivation, mental toughness and responsibility for their learning.

The sixth form offers 30 A Level subjects across the Arts, Languages, Humanities, Economics, Business, Science, Mathematics and Philosophy.

Sixth formers are encouraged to become independent learners and take responsibility for their learning.

A Sixth Form Open Evening for Year 12 entry in 2027 is scheduled for 6 October 2026.

Russell Group institutions accounted for 71% of UK university destinations, while 9% of students chose overseas study.

“This year, 71% of UK university destinations were Russell Group institutions, while 9% of students chose to study overseas, with IE Madrid in Spain proving a popular choice; degree subject choices ranged from Science, Medicine, and Engineering through Business and Economics to Politics and Sport.”

Of Harrodian A Level students, 91% secured a place at their first-choice or insurance-offer university across the UK, USA, Canada or Europe.

“This year, 91% of Harrodian A Level students succeeded in securing a place at their first choice or ‘insurance offer’ university in the UK, USA, Canada or Europe with 29 of them choosing to defer entry by taking a gap year.”

The 2025 GCSE Average Point Score was 7.6, compared with 7.3 in 2019.

In 2025, 79% of GCSE grades were 9–7, up from 72% before Covid.
