Hatton Special School

Hatton is a large primary special school for pupils with SEND (mostly autistic spectrum), with 199 pupils in 26 classes, small class groups of ~8 pupils supported by a teacher and up to four learning support assistants.

“We are a large, primary school supporting pupils with special educational needs, most of them being on the autistic spectrum. We currently have 199 pupils at our school in 26 classes. Our pupils are in small class groups of approximately eight pupils supported by a teacher and up to four learning support assistants. Our school employs 170 member of staff in total.”

Pupils' individual EHCP outcomes and therapy goals are integrated into teaching across all subject areas and activities throughout the day.
