Assessment

This specification incorporates three methods of assessment. Three examined units and five internally assessed coursework units throughout the two years. Each piece of assessed work will be awarded a pass, merit or distinction grade and these grades are cumulative, resulting in a final grade at the end of the course. It is, therefore essential students apply themselves to all tasks as they are continually being assessed. Units covered: Unit 1: Principles and Applications of Biology I Unit 2: Principles and Applications of Chemistry I Unit 3: 2 Principles and Applications of Physics I Unit 9: Biomedical Science Unit 10: Climate Change Unit 11: Functional Physiology of Human Body Systems
