Year 12 You will take part in a series of practical workshops on the theatre practitioners Stanislavski and Berkoff. You will apply these theories to ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ by Tennessee Williams and ‘Metamorphosis’ by Stephen Berkoff. Then you will perform a monologue or duologue from a published play. The year will end with a public group performance of an extract from a published play. Year 13 What can I do after I’ve completed the course? This course can lead to further study in Drama, Theatre Studies and Performing Arts in Higher Education at Degree level, or may lead on to a career in the performing arts industries. The course also complements a range of subjects such as English, History, Psychology and is useful in building confidence, improving presentation and public speaking skills in a range of high level careers such as Medicine and Law.
