Course summary

You will learn by completing laboratory-based practical assignments, supported self-study assignments, presentations and discussions that are based on real workplace situations, activities and demands. The course covers a wide range of subjects including physiology and industrial applications, as well as using statistical and mathematical tools required for science. BTECs offer practical experience that is often lacking in more traditional routes such as A Levels. This course allows students to • develop their vocational practical skills • follow scientific procedures in a logical and safe manner • observe and record data accurately and present information concisely.
