Assessment
The A Level in physical education is split into three sections: 1. Factors effecting participation in physical activity: This includes anatomy and physiology, skill acquisition and sport and society (2 hour written exam, 35% of final grade) 2. Factors affecting optimal performance in physical activity and sport: This includes exercise physiology and biomechanics, sport psychology and sport and society and technology in sport (2 hour written exam, 35% of final grade) 3. Practical performance in physical activity and sport: this includes students being assessed as a performer or coach in the full sided version of one activity, plus: written/verbal analysis of performance (Internal assessment, external moderation, 30% of final grade)
