Chemistry
Course summary
There are four strands which make up the course content for Chemistry. Physical Chemistry looking at rates of reaction, catalysts, energy changes in reactions and how scientists can use reactions. Inorganic Chemistry studying Transition metals, the compounds they form, why they form them and what uses they have for all sorts of people. Organic Chemistry, the Chemistry of Carbon-based compounds including fuels and medicines, how they are made, making them ourselves and working out how to make them quicker to successfully achieve more product. Practical Chemistry including all of the topics above and learning practical Chemistry skills for Apprenticeships, University and Employment.
