On this course you will study a range of practical and theoretical units to develop your skills and prepare you for front of house employment in establishments which offer fine dining and complex menus. You will train alongside industry professionals and learn teamwork skills which are essential in a busy catering environment. • Work front-of-house in our commercial restaurant • Methods of food service • Bar work and barista skills • Customer service.
• Grade 4 in English, plus a grade 3 in maths. • Or, a Level 1 hospitality and catering qualification • Or relevant industry experience. If you are a young person who is not currently studying a traditional GCSE programme, we will consider alternative qualifications such as functional skills and vocational qualifications. If you do not have the entry requirements listed above you may still be accepted to study if you can provide relevant experience, a strong portfolio of work and a commitment to the subject.
