Assessment

• The BTEC Level 3 National Diploma has two written exams, each lasting 1.5 hours, and an externally assessed coursework task that lasts 3 hours. • The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma has three written exams, each lasting 1.5 hours, and an externally assessed coursework task that lasts 3 hours. Students in the Extended Diploma course are required to complete up to 100 hours of relevant work experience. If you study a BTEC Diploma and Extended Diploma course, you are expected to complete all the work required for the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate by the end of Year 12.
