Assessment

The work is assessed in two main forms of assessment: • External assessments (two in Year 12) • Internal assessments (five in Year 12/13) • Synoptic assessment (one in Year 13) Assessment is specifically designed to fit the purpose and objective of the qualification. It includes a range of assessment types and styles suited to vocational qualifications in the sector. The majority of the course is assessed through internal assessment which involves the researching and responding to an assignment brief. Some units are exam based.
