Year 12 You study the following topics: Biological Molecules, Cells, Organisms exchanging substances with their environment, Genetic information, variation and relationships between organisms. Year 13 In Year 13 you study the following topics: Energy transfers in and out of organisms, Organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments, Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems, Control of gene expression. Biology is a practical subject and throughout the course you will have the chance to carry out various practical activities such as using microscopes, dissecting animal or plant systems, using aseptic technique to study microbes, and many more. Possible degree options: Biology, Psychology, Sport Science, Medicine, Anatomy, Chemistry Physiology, Pathology, Toxicology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology.
