Course summary
Music courses are both practice-based (involving a great deal of actual performance or production) and academic, which combines practical work with analysis of the background of the subject. Teaching is delivered through a mix of practical workshops and lectures. You can then enter employment in and around the world of music such as production, music theory, music history, engineering and mixing, music technology, recording, and acoustics. The analytical, theoretical and practical skills gained give music students the foundation for a range of careers in the ever-growing industry, as well as transferrable skills suitable to other professions outside of the performing side such as teaching, and events management.
