Course summary

It is possible to progress directly to degree courses in engineering, architecture, furniture design, 3D design and product design. Product Design is increasingly becoming a desired subject when applying at university for design based courses. • Identifying and outlining possibilities for design • Identification and investigation of a design possibility, investigation of client/end user • Designing a prototype • Design and development of design idea • Making a final prototype • Design, manufacture and realisation or final prototype, including tools, equipment, quality and accuracy • Evaluation of own design and prototype
