Course summary
To gain theoretical knowledge, understanding and practical learning in the management and setting up of a recording studio based on industry requirements. To develop the knowledge and skills to produce multi-track recordings, mix-down, execute editing and production processes using computer software, and apply basic concepts and practices employed in analogue and digital sound recording techniques. Enrichment trips will be organized to help students embed their understanding of aspects of music technology looked at during lessons. Students follow the NCFE Level 3 Applied General Certificate in Music Technology. This course is an equivalent of 1 A Level.
