Course summary

This course will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and practical ability to confidently progress on to our Level 3 programmes or to kickstart a hands-on career in the animal care industry. Over the course of the year, you will study a range of interesting topics including animal biology, welfare, animal health, and behaviour. Our courses have a strong emphasis on developing practical animal handling skills to ensure you become confident in working with a range of species commonly encountered in the industry. Alongside your course, you will also complete relevant work experience in the animal sector which helps you prepare for your next steps.
