Assessment

This unit covers the principles that underpin all areas of creative media. It will develop your thinking skills, politics, sociology and you will apply those skills to analyse productions. The fundamental principles of preproduction and the role of preproduction in the film industry. The way components of preproduction come together to make a film production. Learners will design & produce content for fictional films. This will involve watching and analysing films and creating your own. Students can work as part of a group to produce their film but must take responsibility for key scenes individually to create the film. This is the biggest Unit that we study. Learners will be given an externally assessed assessment that is created by BTEC. Learners undertake activities to create Media based upon a scenario set by the exam board which is a good example of what working in the industry is like.
