WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course in Engineering develops students’ understanding of the underpinning mathematics and scientific principles of engineering. Students gain practical experience in a variety of areas, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, automation systems and manufacturing. WHERE NEXT - POSSIBLE CAREER PROGRESSION? This qualification is aimed at students preparing for roles in engineering, for example engineering technician or engineering operative. Students gain relevant skills and knowledge from studying a range of content focused on electrical/electronic and mechanical disciplines, for example electrical machines and maintenance of mechanical systems. More specific pathways can include: Industrial Product Design / Technician & Maintenance / Civil Engineering / 3 Dimensional Design / Constructional Engineering / Surveying / Interior Design / Architecture / Building Control / Design and Marketing / Product Development / Pathways to Teaching and Lecturing.
