WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course is for students who wish to study full time and gain a qualification in Health and Social Care sector in order to progress to Higher Education or employment. The qualifications are designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge needed to care for others in a broad range of health or social care settings. The core units studied are: - Human Lifespan Development - Working in Health and Social Care - Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs In addition to this, the units below are a sample of some of the optional units you could study: Principles of Safe Practice in Health and Social Care - Sociological Perspectives - Psychological Perspectives - Supporting Individuals with Additional Needs - Scientific Techniques for Health Science - Physiological Disorders WHERE NEXT - POSSIBLE CAREER PROGRESSION? On successful completion of this course you could progress to Higher Education. Relevant degree courses could include; nursing, midwifery, social/youth work or teaching. Alternatively you could seek employment in health and social care settings such as hospitals, surgeries, nursing and care homes.
