Entry Requirements

Students must have achieved a minimum of five 9-5 grades or the equivalent at GCSE, including a Grade 5 in GCSE English Literature or English Language, and a Grade 6 in Mathematics. The minimum entry requirement is a Grade 7 in either GCSE Chemistry (Separate Science), or a Grade 77 in GCSE Combined Science. If you studied BTEC Science, you are required to have achieved a Distinction* in the BTEC Level 2 First Award in Principles of Applied Science and a Distinction* in the BTEC Level 2 First Award in Application of Science. Alternatively, you will need to have achieved a Distinction* in the BTEC Level Diploma in Applied Science. Those joining the course with a BTEC qualification will be required to successfully complete a bridging course during the Summer term. This course will conclude with a summative assessment.
