Assessment

o achieve the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Media Make-up Artistry you must successfully complete the mandatory assessment components these are: •Theory exam •Synoptic assignment (practical assessment) You will need make-up equipment and the cost is approx. £700 (subject to change) which includes a uniform. The equipment is ordered through the college at the time of enrolment, you may make an application to the learner support fund for help towards the cost and this award is subject to your individual circumstances. If you are not eligible for learning support fund you will be liable for the full cost of the equipment. Uniform in the salons is compulsory and this consists of the tunic top and trousers supplied in your equipment, you must supply yourself, plain black shoe/ boots with a closed in toe and heel (strictly no trainers). This course includes tutorials, mandatory work experience and workshops to add to your learning experience. Our main focus at South and City College is to ensure all of our learners gain employer engagement. Industry professionals such as Neil Gordon and companies such as Kryolan, have come into our studios to deliver workshops, giving a taste of their expertise and knowledge. Additionally, opportunities to gain work experience within industry throughout the year is a priority. Previous students have managed to gain employment within theatres working for companies such as the royal ballet. Your course also includes tutorial, mandatory work experience and workshops.
