Assessment

PAPER 1: Written examination assessing listening, reading, and writing (2 hour 30 minutes) 50% of the A level grade - Questions will be on aspects of French-speaking society: current trends, aspects of French-speaking society: current issues, artistic culture in the French-speaking world, aspects of political life in the French-speaking world, and grammar. PAPER 2: Written exam assessing writing (2 hours)—20% of the A level grade - Questions will be on one text and one film, or two texts. PAPER 3: Speaking exam (21-23 minutes)—30% of the A level grade - Questions will be on the individual research project and one of the four sub-themes above.
