WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course is for students who have a passion and a strong interest for Mathematics. The subject is very demanding but is potentially very satisfying, as well as being an extremely worthwhile qualification for any potential engineer, scientist or anyone thinking of studying Mathematics at university. This is an accreditation that is highly regarded by employers. The course is for students who are willing to work hard at an intensive but rewarding subject. COURSE CONTENT The course will explore and develop the following topics of interest: A LEVEL FURTHER PURE MATHEMATICS - Core Pure Mathematics 1 - Core Pure Mathematics 2 - Further Mathematics Option 1 ( Further Statistics, Further Mechanics or Decision Mathematics ) - Further Mathematics Option 2 ( Further Statistics 1 or Further Statistics 2 or Further Mechanics 1 or Further Mechanics 2 or Decision Mathematics 1 or Decision Mathematics 2) This specification emphasises the importance of a common core of Mathematics which broadens knowledge of Pure Mathematics. It works in tandem with Pure Mathematics and therefore sound understanding of the topics contained therein is essential. Topics include complex numbers, Matrix algebra, co-ordinate systems, Differentiation and Integration. It is a challenging qualification, which both extends and deepens your knowledge and understanding beyond the standard A level Mathematics. This is particularly for students who are genuinely interested in furthering their knowledge of the subject. By the end of the course, you will have taken your mathematical aptitude to a higher level and will have further developed your logical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
