Component 1: Computer Systems 2.5 hour written exam 40% of A Level - This component will introduce learners to the internal workings of the Central Processing Unit (CPU), the exchange of data and will also look at software development, data types and legal and ethical issues. Component 2: Algorithms and Programming 2.5 hour written exam 40% of A Level - This component will build on Component | and covers elements of computational thinking, problem solving and programming and algorithms to solve problems and standard algorithms. Component 3/4: Programming mmoriectanlanliar project Learners will be expected to analyse, design, develop, test, evaluate and document a program and written in a suitable programming language.
