Assessment Objective One: Students will understand how to complete a high level of critical and analytical artist research. Students will know how to apply this research to develop their own creative work. Students will know and understand a variety of photographers having analysed them in depth using key terminology. Assessment Objective Two: Students will know and understand a wide range of photography techniques to use in their own responses. Students will know how to choose and explore resources, media, materials, techniques and processes. Students will review and refine their ideas as their work develops, demonstrated through creative exploration in their practical work. Students will know and understand how to take visually appealing photographs showing personal meanings and subject matter. Assessment Objective Three: Students will be able to demonstrate that they can record their ideas, thoughts, observations and insights about their work. Students will be able to write how they intend their work to progress, and to critically reflect on their work and their creative development. Students, no matter what creative background they have, will be able to present their ideas through a range of drawings. Students will know and understand how to critically reflect on their project as it progresses. Assessment Objective Four: Students will be able to present a personal and meaningful response. Students will know and understand how to present their work in a way that achieves their aims and intentions. Students will know how to show clear links to visual elements with other aspects of the work (for example, meanings and themes). Students will also develop key transferable skills that are important to their future studies/careers. Students will be challenged to talk publicly about their work, developing critical reflection skills.
