Course summary

An A Level in Business can be the starting point to a range of careers – from accountancy to marketing. It’s a highly engaging subject that can lead you to a career in anything from law, accountancy, human resources, marketing or business management, to teaching, politics or journalism. Business is a dynamic and interesting subject. Throughout this two-year course, you will enhance your commercial awareness and develop a wide range of business related analytical and entrepreneurial skills. You will investigate different types of organization, identify investment opportunities and evaluate how markets affect business performance. You’ll learn how to understand real-world decision-making processes and critically evaluate the external and internal influences on businesses. Topics you will study include marketing and people, managing business activities, business decisions and strategy and global business.
