Course summary
It is essential that an accountant understands the whole of the business environment. This level includes the basic building blocks of financial accounting and double entry bookkeeping. During this course you will cover additional units vital to the role of accounts assistant e.g computerised accounts and basic costing. To facilitate this and to provide sufficient UCAS points for those wishing to progress into HE you will also study a BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Business and Finance (equivalent to one A level). All elements of this course are mandatory. You can progress onto AAT Level 3 after successfully completing this course on either a full time basis or by moving into the work place and studying part time. This course can also be undertaken as part of an apprenticeship programme.
