First Year (Year 12) As English Literature is now a Linear exam, most students will not do an exam at the end of Year 12 unless they are deciding which subject to discontinue. Second Year (Year 13) Exam 1 in June (40% of the GCE) Exam 2 in June (40% of the GCE) Coursework (Two pieces) – Literature Post 1900 (20% of total GCE)
