Course summary

The BTEC Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care provides students with an excellent opportunity to develop a good knowledge base and practical care skills for professions within the health and social care sector. These professions offer challenge and reward; you will be able to make a difference to people’s lives. The course is equivalent in size to three A Levels. It is made up of 13 units of which 8 are Mandatory and 4 are external. The Mandatory content makes up 72% and the external assessment 42% of the overall course.
