Course summary
To deliver an engaging, practical and skills/software-based curriculum, underpinned by sound theoretical knowledge and understanding. To prepare students effectively for Internal and external assessment. Showcasing their skills and understanding by demonstrating In assignments and class demonstrations their ambition to produce industry quality products. To stretch and further challenge our students aiming for higher grades within the externally assessed units, providing additional teaching support and challenge whenever possible for the preparation of external assessment units. In selecting the course students will gain a balanced and thorough exposure to the skills required to be effective within the IT sector. By identifying links across other subjects and exploring national topical trends e.g cyber security, encryption etc within the subject, students will enhance their understanding of the IT landscape. To Inspire a curiosity within the subject and to develop a personal want to discover new and innovative technologies that will provide a platform for our students to be successful within any discipline within the IT sector.. We want our students to be practically and theoretically equipped to deal with the future challenges within the It sector. And be able to provide solutions and lead the implementation of these within a business setting.
