Assessment

A Level Media Studies is assessed through a combination of two two-hour written examinations, and a coursework component. Examinations account for 70% of the final grade; coursework for 30%. Paper one focuses on Media Language and Media Representations. paper two focuses on Media Industries and Media Audiences. The coursework component requires students to create a cross-media production. The coursework is assessed by teachers and moderated by AQA
