Course summary

What will I learn? The qualification gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that relate to service provision, values, rights, responsibilities, different care settings, communication, health & wellbeing, understanding human behaviour and practitioner roles. How is the course structured? There are three mandatory units: Human Lifespan Development, Working in Health and Social Care, Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs. One further optional unit will be selected by the department from: Sociological Perspectives, Psychological Perspectives, Supporting Individuals with Additional Needs, Physiological Disorders and their Care.
