A-Level English Literature Exam: 80% Coursework: 20% Studying English Literature will help you develop immeasurably as a reader, whilst sharpening your analytical skills. You will be exploring a far wider range of literature than at GCSE and connecting texts to genres, theories, and historical events. You will develop your planning and research skills, gaining knowledge of culture, philosophy, history and human behaviour and showing to potential employers and University your ability to handle, articulate and explain complex ideas.
