Personal Development and Employability

Course summary

This is a one year ‘Personal Development and Employability’ level 2 programme aimed at learners who do not achieve five GCSE grade 9 to 4, including a Level 4 in GCSE English (and a Level 4 in GCSE Mathematics). • Princes Trust Level 2 Diploma - Personal Development and Employability • OCR Level 2 Cambridge Technical Award in Digital Business Technologies • GCSE English* • GCSE Mathematics* (if appropriate) • Compulsory work experience placement * or other relevant qualifications depending on prior KS4 attainment The qualifications have a strong vocational application, these subjects give learners the opportunity to engage in learning that is relevant to them, whilst enabling the development of a range of skills, techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. These qualifications make explicit the link between theoretical learning and the world of work by giving learners the opportunity to apply their research skills and knowledge to work-related contexts and case studies.
