Course summary

Fine Art is visual. A Fine Artist develops and produces images and/or sculpture to communicate imaginative, emotional or intellectual ideas. We manipulate line, tone, colour, shape and pattern to ensure our work has the desired impact on those who view it. The A level Fine Art course will develop your visual literacy and give you insights into the ways in which we understand and are influence by images. It will also equip you with the skills you need to produce successful works in a variety of media and technologies. Over the two years of the course you will; Increase your confidence in all types of drawing Extend the range of media you can use fluently Deepen your knowledge of printing and other technologies Learn how to structure your creativity to effectively develop your own ideas and style.
