Assessment

Paper 1- 1 hour 15 minutes. A source based paper with four questions ranging from inference to a mini-essay. It is worth 20% at higher. Paper 2- 1 hour 45 minutes. An essay paper where students write 3 essays from the choice of 8 in 2 hours 45 minutes. It is worth 40% at HL. Internal Assessment This is an “engagement activity” where you have to participate in politics in some way- such as working with an NGO- and then make links with a global issue Worth 20% at HL. Students also deliver two presentations based on any two of the six units above. This is worth 20%.
