Course summary

Environmental Science is a current and interdisciplinary subject that unusually combines the scientific knowledge about our planet with the understanding about how we (humans) interact with the planet. This is a refreshing subject that will take you on an adventure to understand the current and future situation of our planet by looking at the past and current issues that are threatening our survival and the environment. This will provide you with the opportunity to learn about and discuss pressing problems, such as ensuring that human needs are met in a sustainable way, so that everyone has access to clean water and air, and the resources required for agriculture, forestry, aquaculture and industrial activity. What it can lead to Careers including Environmental Scientist, Environmental Engineer, Wildlife biologist, Environmental Geologist, Ecologist, or Environment Officer.
