Course summary
Sports Studies Single Award BTECs create a fundamentally learner-centred approach to the curriculum, with a flexible, unit-based structure where knowledge can be applied in different types of project-based assessments. They focus on the holistic development of the practical, interpersonal and thinking skills required to be able to succeed in employment and higher education. BTEC Extended Certificate Sport • A two-year course • Equivalent to one A Level • Will be studied alongside 3 other A level subjects • Consists of 4 units (2 of which are externally assessed) You will study the following units: 1. Anatomy and Physiology 2. Fitness training and programming for health, sport and well-being 3. Professional development in the Sports Industry 7. Practical Sports Performance
