Assessment

AS and A2 units have a 40% and 60% weighting respectively. An E grade at AS is the minimum requirement to continue onto the A2 course. AS Level Units. These carry a 40% weighting of the final A2 award. Unit 1. Written Paper 1: 2 hours examination (20%) Unit 2. Design and make task practical assessment: approximately 40 hours (20%) A2 Level Units These carry a 60% weighting of the final A2 award. Unit 3. Written Paper 2: 2.5 hours examination (30%) Unit 4. Design and make project practical assessment: approximately 60 hours (30%)
