Assessment

There is a 2 hour examination in June; this paper is made up of ten questions which will assess the candidates’ knowledge and understanding drawn from; Product Analysis, Human Responsibility, Public Interaction, Materials and Components, Industrial and Commercial Practice, Processes, Production Systems and Control. Students can opt to sit the Product Design paper or equivalent Fashion and Textiles version. 50% of the final A Level grade is taken from the NEA (a design and make task). This is assessed in five different areas, including developing ideas and manufacturing a prototype.
