A BTEC National Extended Certificate is a level 3 qualification that will provide a vocational approach to studying Business. Through analysing real businesses and applying knowledge to ‘real life’ scenarios, all students will have the opportunity to learn a huge variety of skills that will form a strong basis for them to either use for their progression into university or into the world of business. This is an exciting opportunity to achieve highly in a predominantly continual assessment course. This course is a BTEC National level 3 Extended Certificate in Business. With the completion of this certificate and the 4 units involved, the students will have the equivalent of 1 A Level. The certificate qualification comprises 3 Mandatory Units and 1 Optional Unit
Level 2 Merit in Enterprise and Business Marketing at Level 2. Minimum 6th form entry requirements apply. 5 GCSE passes, including English and Maths at a grade 4 or above.
Unit 1: Exploring Business: features of different businesses, organisation and structure, business markets innovation and enterprise. Non-exam assessment Unit 2: Developing a Marketing Campaign: marketing principles and processes, interpreting marketing information and data, plan develop and adapt marketing campaigns. External examination assessment Unit 3: Personal and Business Finance: principles and functions, financial issues and accounting, impact and outcome, financial data.
